Tattie Champions

12th October 2016

In September 2016 Alf Collington gave a talk about the work of Angus foodbank to the pupils at Muirfield Primary School, Arbroath.  Sisters Lily and Annabel, and friend Ellie were so moved by the stories of the people that are helped by the foodbank that they decided they wanted to help as well.   Without further ado they pulled on their wellies rolled up their sleeves and, with the permission of the farmer, walked up and down the field collecting all the loose potatoes that the harvester had missed.  With some help they then bagged them up, having collected 77 kilograms of potatoes and Ellie’s mum dropped them off at the foodbank.

Well done girls we are so proud of you.
